This resource is a set of 5 Art lessons based around the theme of India for KS1. The key skills that are taught include collaborative art skills, simple sculpture and using paint and other materials to create pictures and crafts. The children work together creating a city skyline, before moving on to making elephants, diva lamps, rangoli patterns and fireworks pictures during the unit. The plans are very detailed and include templates, simple powerpoints and website links. There are details of curriculum links and lists of any art resources you will need to set out before the class starts.
